What was at stake.
The pool needed a long cure, fill, heat and water balance before any swimmer could touch it. The contractor schedule gave all of that two weeks. The meet date could not move.
How we controlled it.
What our schedulers and cost engineers did on this project.
Pool as its own chain
Shell, tile, cure, fill, heating and water chemistry were scheduled with real durations.
Meet date as finish
The championship meet became the hard finish, with timing systems and seating sequenced in front of it.
Recovery early
When steel slipped, we tested two recovery options and the team chose the one with the most float left.
Weekly look-aheads
Three-week look-aheads kept every trade working toward the pool fill date.
The result.
You cannot rush water chemistry. Once the pool had its real duration, the rest of the schedule had to make room.
