What is at stake.
Traffic switches, utility relocations and bridge work all depend on each other. A late utility move can stop a bridge for months. The design-build schedule held thousands of activities, but its logic had open ends and the owner could not trust the finish date.
How we control it.
What our schedulers and cost engineers are doing on this project.
Schedule rebuilt
We fixed open ends, removed constraints that hid float and rebuilt the logic so the finish date could be trusted.
Utilities on the path
Every utility relocation is in the schedule as real work with its owner named, tracked weekly.
Traffic switches planned
Each traffic switch is a milestone with the work in front of it linked, planned down to the night.
Delay record kept
Contemporaneous records and windows analysis are kept current, so any claim can be answered with facts.
Where it stands.
On a highway job, the utility you did not track is the one that stops you. Every one of them is now on the critical path report.
