What is at stake.
The owner wants each building on line sooner than the one before. That only works if lessons, logic and cost codes carry from one building to the next. The first building had none of that structure.
How we control it.
What our schedulers and cost engineers are doing on this project.
Program template
We built one WBS, logic library and cost code structure for all six buildings, so each new schedule starts from what worked.
Learning curve tracked
Durations from each finished building feed the next schedule, and the improvement is reported to the owner.
Equipment pooled
Generators, switchgear and cooling units are tracked as a pooled supply, assigned to the building that needs them first.
Embedded team
Our schedulers and cost engineers sit with the owner team and run the controls system from the inside.
Where it stands.
The second building should never be as hard as the first. On a program, the schedule is how you keep what you learned.
