What is at stake.
A freezer floor must be brought down to temperature over weeks, and nothing can rush it. The contractor schedule treated the pull-down as a two-day task. Tenants have signed receiving dates that depend on it.
How we control it.
What our schedulers and cost engineers are doing on this project.
Pull-down as real work
The temperature pull-down is scheduled as a multi-week chain with its own hold points and readings.
Refrigeration critical
Ammonia refrigeration equipment, piping and testing sit on the critical path where they belong.
Racking and doors
Racking, dock doors and automation are sequenced so they install before the box goes cold.
Tenant dates tracked
Each tenant receiving date is a milestone with float reported in every monthly update.
Where it stands.
You cannot hurry cold. Once the pull-down was in the schedule at its real length, every other date fell into place.
